What is your primary product or service?
Advisors Assistant - a full featured client management system, or CRM, for the financial services industry. It has several add-on features such as an insurance policy tracking module, a module which calculates insurance commisisons earned, a full featured portfolio management module, investment transaction downloads from several custodians and broker dealers, and a document management system. It can be either web-based or computer based.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Founder of our company started as an insurance agent and later became a Registered Investment Advisor. He wrote the original program for his personal use. He then gave it to friends to use and they encouraged him to sell it commercially. That was 28 years ago and Advisors Assistant now has thousands of users all over the world.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We constantly monitor our program to be sure it's easy to use. We have provided Free, 800 Line Telephone Support from the beginning, and we continually update the program based on suggested features from our users and the latest technological advances.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have an office in Pismo Beach, California and one in Auckland, New Zealand. Yes, expansion is always a goal.

Our office backs up to the 101 Freeway in Pismo Beach. Off at either Price Street exit and continue on Price Street to 880 Price Street which is 3 or 4 blocks from the off ramps.
